The First Post! ("dun dun dun...cue for dramatic music!").

Hello,
 This is my first post, for a blog I have wanted to do for a rather long time. My name is Jake and I live in England and despite this introduction sounding rather juvenile, I am studying (amongst other things) media at Cirencester College. I thought this blog would be the perfect accompaniment for the course I am undertaking, and hope this will be a space where I can just discuss movies, television shows and just how to survive college, reasonably intact. I am not the perfect writer, far from it, but I hope other fans of media, will find this blog, and be able to share in the love for how much work goes into the many different masterpieces that entertain the world frequently. I will, once again hopefully, review many different film genres on this blog and be able to share my opinion with all the other blog readers. This will not be a place where I will decimate and slate any media, I always say that if you cannot find one good thing to say about a movie or television show, then what is the point in even reviewing it to begin with. I do not know about you but I do not want to waste my time! :)
  Despite being slightly (completely) socially awkward and having a phobia of 'awkward situations (every situation) like many other inhabitants of this ever-changing world (sorry if that sounded too dramatic), I find all television shows and movies can be an escape; a chance to delve into a world where anything can occur, both the best things and the worst, and it does not matter what is going on around you, at least for a while. The unity any fandom can create is staggering, and it would be nice to create a little corner of the internet, where all types of followers can discuss and post their opinions on things. At my age, I am constantly told by lecturers that I must work my hardest and always concentrate, and though this may be true, I have finally discovered that the most important thing to do is handle this stress and enjoy life as well (no matter how cliche it may sound). So, hi my name is Jake, I live in England. This is my blog on movies, television and Life.
